Authenticity Advocate - Personalized Coaching to Help you Grow
|
I am a young 60ish-year-old woman. I was born and raised in a small town north of Sudbury Ontario and still consider it home!! I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. My parents did everything they could to make life a happy place for us. We were the typical middle class family, and we managed to enjoy life to the fullest.
I lived a sheltered life, and even though it was good, I always struggled with self-esteem. I was extremely shy and at times felt I didn’t exist! i was bullied and I was teased for developing early, for not being the smart one, not being heard or able to express my thoughts, among other things. This caused me even more to shut down and remain the quiet one in the bunch. |
As I grew, it came very clear to me in high school that all I wanted was to get married and have a family. Career wasn’t something I thought about!
I was married very young and have 2 children. That has grown my family to 4 Children (I consider my son and daughter-in-law’s my children) and 5 grandchildren. I am a strong believer in family, honesty and hard work.
My parents have lived with us for 38 the 43 years we have been married. We lost mom in 2018 and I lost my soul mate in January 2026. It is just me and Dad now and we are supporting each other in many ways. I have faced and continue to face challenges. I KNOW in my heart that these challenges strengthen us and I can help you through yours. I am a true believer in family, boundaries and growing through and past the "what If's".
So, what do I have to share that can help others? Well let me tell you:
I joined the corporate world in 1988 with no college or university degree. I did though, climb the corporate ladder and successfully retired as a Manager in Customer Service/Logistics and Accounts Receivable. I always struggled with not being “good enough” in a corporate world without a degree and being a woman!
Throughout my career, I faced many challenges as a manager, peer and female. I did manage to get the support I needed to realize I AM WORTH IT, and I am just as capable of anyone with a degree no matter what gender!
I struggled with work-life balance and taking on the problems of the world. I met an amazing coach who taught me to set boundaries, believe in myself and most importantly recognize my talents and abilities. This then brought me to a point in my life that I needed to share these abilities and help others who struggle with being YOU! It's not okay to be "just okay". Saying what you want to say in a way that is productive and beneficial. Standing tall and open to growth and change. Releasing things that are holding you back! Guess what YOU ARE WORTH IT!
If you can relate to my story, know you are not alone and I am willing and able to help you see yourself as others see you and believing in yourself.
